Capacitive Voltage Divider/Coupling Capacitor/HV Filter (Type TAWF Series):

TAWF Series Coupling Capacitor

Coupling capacitors of TAWF series consist of 1 or more modular units built into glass fiber reinforced epoxy tubes. Their features are:
- Special design provides a base load for high voltage AC resonant test systems.
- Separation of partial discharge signal from high voltage.
- Measuring AC voltages in the industrial frequency range.
- Attenuating interferences coming from HV side
- Partial discharge measurements with an optional coupling quadripole
- The standard base frame is fitted with castors for mobility (above 100 kV)

LBH High Voltage Filter
By adding an inductance to the coupling capacitor, they form high voltage filter LBH which attenuates interferences coming from the high voltage reactor / transformer side. High voltage filter imductance is connected between the reactor / transformer and the coupling capacitor or between two coupling capacitors.
Typical insertion loss (50 Ω / 50 Ω) at 10 kHz-500 kHz > 30dB

Resistive Voltage Divider:
Resistive voltage divider can be used for measurement of full and front chopped lightning impulses or impulses, voltages with steep wave fronts. It can also be used for measuring DC in some conditions. The transformation ratio and transfer behaviour of resistive divider fulfils IEC 60060-2 and GB/T16927.2-1997 requirements with respect to measuring accuracy and dynamic behaviour. The divider components are designed in such a way that the transfer errors are negligible for the lightning impulse shapes. Resistive voltage dividers are generally used when an additional capacitance in the test circuit is not permissible due to the slowdown effect on the rise time. Therefore it can’t be used without any capacitive load in the test circuit.
The high voltage resistors made of CrNi wire are anti-inductively wound. For dividers with a rated lightning impulse voltage above 200 kV high voltage resistors are housed in cylinders made from glass fiber enforced epoxy resin. For these dividers the pure ohmic divider also comprises an external damping resistor. Above 150kV rated lightning impulse voltage the dividers are equipped with toroidal HV electrodes to guarantee corona-free operation. The secondary unit is fitted with LEMO connector. It consists of resistors of low inductance arranged in a coaxial design. The unit is fixed at the bottom of the divider and can easily be disassembled.
The voltage divider is designed for indoor applications. Dividers above a rated lightning voltage of 200 kV are erected on a four-arm base equipped with castors. The divider ratio is designed to achieve a output voltage of approx. 1000 V at rated lightening impulse voltage. Test in order to reduce the influence of electromagnetic interferences. Dividers can also be supplied with other ratios or with an attenuator to match the input voltage of other measuring devices. Several models are available in this series.
